So I set out to read this book for my writing 205 class called ‘Colonize This!’ So far I’ve only covered the introduction. But it’s on to a good start. It seems to be a book revolved around the femininity of all woman and the distinction that it doesn’t matter what you look like, where you are from, or how you speak to be considered a true powerful strong independent woman. They emphasize that regardless of what woman may endure, their femininity should never be corrupted because it’s embodied into them. When reading the introduction, I found many things memorable to me; the woman introduced in the book spoke very strongly that regardless of all these hardships and how society gets in the way of how people are perceived that they never forget about who they are and where they came from, and the most important thing is that they feel like equals.

They write in ways by applying examples and concepts that can relate to anyone, not just the female community but to a community as a whole, a unified, equal community. It’s a very strong thing to do, because it really does add a lot of relation to the effect of the point they are trying to make. Literally it seems like this book is about to jump into a journey of stories involving sadness, adventure and much more about just finding one’s self and understanding life. If I were add to the introduction so far, I would dive a little further under what the structure of woman and how they function during relationships, and the power or control they feel in their brightest moments, or darkest days.
